We were referred to Karen Brinkley by my son’s psychologist. My 5 year old son, Kyle did not know his alphabet, could not count to 10, and had no interest to sit down activities such as puzzles, games, books, could only draw or color a rainbow. He became extremely frustrated at any type of ‘academic’ related activity.
We met with Karen, and she used various approaches (e. g. The Learning Ears, SAMONAS: Auditory Intervention and Retrain the Brain (fun hand moving exercises for handwriting)
Throughout the time with Kyle, Karen always displayed professionalism and offered us encouragement when we were discouraged and was always positive with us and our son. Karen was always ready with activities and transitioned easily from one activity to the next.
Kyle is now finishing the first half of kindergarten. We believe that Kyle has shown so much progress largely due to the assistance that he received from Karen!
She was willing to help him when no one else had anything else to offer. The psychologist, school system or our pediatrician did not. We highly recommend Karen’s expertise and services to anybody (child or adult) who is struggling in any way with a learning problem. We cannot thank her enough for the work she has done with Kyle and the hope she has given us!

Wow! Jeremy could recite the US Presidents after two sessions. In school, he asked his teacher to move him away from kids not respecting his space. He was retaining information that he read. His fencing instructor said she noticed great changes, being calm and focused. He can make eye contact and listen. We are truly happy with Karen’s program therapies. We highly recommend Karen!!
My son has always disliked Reading. I had to bribe him to read by himself. He wanted me to read to him. Now, he voluntarily reads for 20 – 30 minutes, by himself. No more battles. He read a 250 page book by himself, and scored 100 percent on a reading test! Unbelievable! He can even sound out and spell words and his writing flows so much better. Thank you!

Averie has significant growth in reading, spelling and especially her ability to self-correct. She was so frustrated and fatigued after school, prior working with Karen Brinkley. We were exhausted parents who knew our child had great potential, but something was holding her back. After a year of testing with the school, Audiologist, Neurologist and Neuropsychologist, with no results. The only real help Averie had received was with Karen. Six months after completing PACE and SAMONAS, she has made and maintained growth at school. In 4th grade testing at a 2nd grade level (according to school test), has grown 2 years and ready for 5th grade. In my opinion, this is a miracle through the efforts and time spent with Karen.
