Music has its own language and is complicated. The key to the language of music is do-re-mi. It is really Rogers-and-Hammerstein simple. (The do-re-mi is called scales). Scales are the building blocks. The order of music. They are as real as gravity and hardwired into our DNA. Proof is seen in the ability to know where a song is going, the first time we hear it. It also applies to speaking. Knowing the sounds of letters which create words, then sentences, paragraphs, stories, lyrics in music.
I call this section, “Mother Short Vowel with 5 Short Babies.” The baby’s names are: “a,” “e,” “i,” “o,” and “u.”
Short baby vowel ‘a’ was hungry and saw an apple. Pointing to the apple with her hand raised in the air, she shouted ‘aaaaa!’ ‘aaaa!’ The sound is the beginning sound of ‘apple’.
Short baby vowel ‘e’ saw some eggs, picked them up and said
‘eeeeee’ as in the word ‘eggs.’ Now say ‘e’ ‘e.’
Short baby vowel ‘i’ saw a pig covered with mud. The baby said
“i-i-i-i-ky.” Make the sound of the short vowel ‘i.’
Short baby vowel ‘o’ looked at a very large bird, an ostrich. Then she said ‘o’ ‘o’ as in “ostrich.” Say ‘o’ ‘o.’
Short baby vowel “u” would get into things. Mother vowel would shake her finger and say “uh! uh! uh! Say the short vowel ‘u’ sound.
